The student conference accepts papers from students at the undergraduate, Master’s, and PhD level; Master’s, and PhD level papers can be submitted to both the Student and Technical sessions programs.  

For the Student program, one student from each submission category will be presented with an award during the conference, recognizing both the technical aspects of the work as well as their ability to present the topic in a clear, concise, and compelling manner. 

 Accommodations during the conference and a travel bursary will be available to all students with a paper that has been accepted to the 2026 CNS/CNA Student Conference. 

Submission Guidelines:

• Papers must present original material or a review of a significant area, and not published previously.

• Full papers will be reviewed by industry experts prior to the conference and should be a maximum of 5 pages.

• By submitting a paper, you agree to the following:


     - Your paper must be presented in poster format at the student poster session.
     - The paper and poster can be published in the Conference Proceedings.
     - The Proceedings or individual papers may be offered for sale to the public by the CNS.
     - Individual papers may be reprinted in other CNS publications.
Full paper submission for review February 24, 2026
Final paper submission for the Conference Proceedings May 5, 2026
Poster submission for presentation June 2, 2026

Important Dates

Students are responsible for the printing and transportation of posters to the conference. 

For non-CNS members, create a Profile – Authors are encouraged to become members; registration is free for student members 

 Once you create your profile, you will be logged directly in to submit your paper.  

 You will also receive a confirmation email with your password. You may update your password at any time by clicking on “Update Profile”. 

 Your profile and password will allow you to submit your paper and to update it to the final document
